ABSTRACT

Assessmentof new students admission is very important for each school because to get the best output of human resources it should be originated from either input anyway . This assessment is based on several criteria which are value of SKHUN (Decree of the National Examination Results ), value of tests ​​and value of Interview. To get the best result of the assessment all the criteriasshould be able to dominate the calculation based on the criteria of interest.

DSS (Decision Support System) with ANP method is a mathematical theory that is able to analyze the influence of the assumptions approach to solve the problem by way of preparation form a hierarchy, a comparative assessment and a hierarchical composition or synthesis. SKHUN criteria, tests and interviews in the ANP are clusters, sub-criteria of these criterias are nodes and in this case the prospective students in 2013 are treated as alternatives.

The final result of the calculation ANP is acceptable because it has the same first priority to manual calculation.

ABSTRACT

The tourism sector is a sector that can be relied upon in economic growth in the region, especially in the city of Samarinda. Samarinda on the side as a center of education is also a part of the tourist destinations in East Kalimantan.

Determination of the criteria in this study conducted through surveys and interviews with parties and stakeholders engaged in tourism. Furthermore, the criteria and sub-criteria given pairwise comparisons with preference ratings between 1-9.

The results obtained by using AHP approach in determining tourism destination can be determined based on the criteria best alternative tourist attraction of some of the alternatives based on ranking. AHP method in the assessment of consistency at every level of the hierarchy structure is able to accommodate inconsistencies in the assessment.

ABSTRACT

Currently the process of managing a scientific journal published within the Politeknik Negeri  Samarinda not have management information systems journals. Impact does not have a good system for the integration of the links between the pillars in the process of publishing the journal can run less effective and less neat effect on documenting kronoligis management journals covering the manuscript submission process, review process, improvement of the journal, until the publication process the journal.

In this study only focuses on the design of the system, and in developing this system design, system development model Waterfall, which is supported by the system development tool Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), Flowchart System, Entity Relationship Diagram (ER Diagram, and Database Design.

Results of this research is the design of management information system of scientific journals, a process that occurs in the design does not change the process flow that has been done by the manager of the journal, simply provide a better solution to the mechanism of cooperation between the pillars in the process of managing a scientific journal.

ABSTRACT

Samarinda State Polytechnic as one of vocational higher education has a Sub Unit called Tata Usaha dan Rumah Tangga. This sub unit has a responsibility in management and archiving of in-out-letters. Currently, the management and archiving is still running in a conventional way. The disadvantages of this process are: the process of disposition is running slow particularly when the director or vice director is outside the institution; the distribution still spend time and money; and the searching of letters is still slow. In this research, we will design an information system that would manage the in-out letters. This system could accelerate the performance of letter correspondences, improve the time efficiency of disposition, and the searching of letters faster and more accurate.

Methodology used in this research is Software Development Life Cycle. In this cycle, phases used are, data gathering, data analysis and design only. On the design phase, modelling language used is Unified Modeling Language (UML).

The result of this research is a document called a software requirement specifications and a softwre design description. These two documents, later,  would be a blue print that would be used as a base in building and implementation phase.

ABSTRACT

 

Filing Unit Samarinda State Polytechnic is one of the special handling unit in the archives Samarinda State Polytechnic . The system runs now on Archival Unit is still manual so that the management of archival documents by officers still slower and less efficient .Departing from the problems mentioned above , the writer wants to do the research to make an archival information system design documents that can later be used by the Archives Unit as a reference to create a desktop-based application filing system or web.
The method used in this research is the development of software systems Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC ) which includes several stages , among others ; Requirements Gathering , System Analysis , System Design , System Developing and Testing System . However , this study only up to the third stage of the design stage . Stage of manufacture and testing of these  systems can be made ​​for future research.

The end result of this research in the form of information system design that consists of the design of Data Flow Diagrams ( DFD ) , database design and interface design in UPT archival Filing System State Polytechnic Samarinda .
